The gallery La Tine presents two artists from Neuchâtel: Charles-Clos Olsommer (paintings) and François Egli (paintings/sculptures)

Charles-Clos Olsommer (1883-1966)

A landscape painter and mystical portraitist, he attended the School of Fine Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds under the direction of Charles L’Eplattenier and then continued his training in Munich and Geneva. On three occasions, he was awarded the federal grant for fine arts, and his works were exhibited in numerous museums (Sion, Neuchâtel, Lausanne, Veyras, etc.). From 1910 onwards, he worked in Valais and settled there permanently.

François Egli 1965 Neuchâtel

Nomadic artist, painter-sculptor, out of fashion, dogma and time, his works can be read as visual poems, surrealist. He mixes different techniques and materials to share joyful and touching moments. The themes of his works take us back to childhood memories, colourful, offbeat and contrasting for the pleasure of sharing and nostalgia.

The opening will be on Friday 17th December 2021 from 5 pm.
