Enough to open you to reading !
These days are open to everyone and will allow you to immerse yourself in the world of literature! A mobile library will open its doors to the curious and children will be able to take part in a workshop to familiarize them with this world. Adults will also benefit from the presence of authors to discuss their works.
Description of the creative writing workshop:
Budding writers and storytellers, join the creative writing workshop to invent a character and a plot, letting your imagination run wild with “magic” dice illustrated with symbols…
From 10:30 to 12:00 via the booking link
List of authors present:
Abigail Seran: Franco-Swiss writer with 8 books ranging from novels, collections of short stories, illustrated chronicles and a play. She is also the initiator and administrator of the participatory writing project “d’Ă©crire ma ville”, and runs the MEEL (Maison des Écrivaines, des Écrivains et des LittĂ©ratures) in Monthey.
Les livres de Nanie : French author of a collection of 12 children’s books printed on recycled paper, combining fun and playfulness on the theme of fruit and vegetables! Each book explains an expression through a rhyming story with a customised fruit or vegetable character. The illustrations are staged using crafts, drawings, origami, modelling clay, etc., to keep with the children’s theme.
Pierre-André Milhit: a poet, he explores new writing territories. He discovers, invents, relates, leaves things fallow and tries his hand at cuttings. He is willingly iconoclastic, adept at constraint and construction. Curious about all forms of writing, he practices the art of letter writing, and collaborates with performing arts and visual artists. He has been president of the Société des Écrivains Valaisans since 2018 and of the Maison des Écrivaines, des Écrivains et des Littératures in Monthey since 2022.
