Katerina Poltorak blends Russian folklore with local landscapes to depict the journey of adaptation and the search for identity in a new world.
Recently settled in Champéry, Russian artist and illustrator Katerina Poltorak explores the trauma of relocation and loss of roots through the integration of Russian folklore characters into the local environment. The artist’s works show the process of adaptation and the search for identity in a new cultural context.
The exhibition plunges the viewer into a world where old myths meet new realities, forming new cultural links and new meanings.
