So what’s a loo with a view? It’s Summit Foundation’s way of helping make sure that when hikers go in search of pristine alpine views, the alpine views are actually pristine – no matter where one happens to be viewing from!

DRY TOILETS 2,000 M ABOVE SEA LEVEL…

This quaint little restroom, equipped with panoramic windows, might be one of the more surprising sights you’ll see in our mountains – but it’s generally a very welcome one. Throning in pride of place where the Crête ski lift used to be near Morgins, this cute little privy boasts one of the area’s most spectacular views of our magnificent Dents du Midi.

The loo moved out… in Barme! It will be there until September 4th.

… HELP RAISE AWARENESS OF OUR IMPACT ON NATURE!

This installation is part of Summit Foundation’sToilets With a View’ campaign, aimed at doing away with the unsightly tissues occasionally found along our lovely trails. More than just an eyesore, this waste reveals a real dirty secret: human impact on the soil, water, wildlife and livestock.

To minimize pollution when nature calls and there’s no ‘head’ to head to, please remember these simple rules:

  1. Stay away from waterways – at least 70 m.
  2. Leave no trace (bury, put under a stone and pack out your wastepaper)
