Following the pros on the Tour de France

Sunday July 10th, the 9th stage of La Grande Boucle – or The Big Loop as the Tour de France is otherwise known – will pass through Region Dents du Midi! In an authentic mountain test, the riders will make the day’s final climb from Monthey, through Troistorrents, and on up to Morgins before crossing the border to arrive in the neighbouring French village, Châtel. The following day, the Tour will remain in the Portes du Soleil with the 10th stage starting from Morzine. These alpine legs promise quite a show! 

Courageous cyclists who want to go wheel to wheel with the pros can attempt the last portion of this stage on Strava. The challenge is available until June 3rd and there are great prizes at stake! Just join the Region Dents du Midi Strava club and ride the ‘Final Climb Tour de France’ segment. A prize drawing and award ceremony will be held during the Fête du Tour on June 5th at the Pas de Morgins pass!

Set your own pace on our marked routes

In summer 2021, we proudly inaugurated 7 marked cycling routes in the Illiez Valley. If you haven’t ridden them yet, now’s your chance! These routes offer cyclists of all ages and abilities a panoply of legendary climbs and bucolic landscapes, with breathtaking views of the Dents du Midi and the Chablais Plain. Leave your stopwatch at home, set your own pace, and make sure to enjoy the ride!
