Not to be had for love or money, the recipe for our famous Salée de la Valée is often a family's most jealously guarded secret.
The Illiez Valley is known for its Salée, which translates, paradoxically, as 'salty'!
In fact, this more-ish pie is made of sugar, cinnamon, brioche pastry and lots and lots of butter. Every local family has its own secret variation but today's workshop will let the cat out of the bag once and for all.
For today's workshop, you'll make, and more importantly, sample this delectable traditional specialty.
