As a result of the measures taken by the Federal Council and the Valais Council of State, various measures and restrictions are currently in force. As the situation is constantly changing, you will find below the updated guidelines, which are also available on the official page of the Canton.

Public spaces / displacements

  • Gatherings are limited to 15 people in the public space outside and 10 people for private gatherings inside.
  • From the age of 12, it is compulsory to wear a face mask in lively areas where pedestrians circulate, and as soon as the concentration of people present does not allow the required distance (1.5m) to be respected.
  • People arriving in Switzerland from UK and South Africa are required to go into quarantine during 10 days. Retroactive quarantine: All persons who have entered Switzerland from these two countries since the 14th of December must go into retroactive quarantine (more infos).

Events / activities

  • Events are prohibited except in the field of sport and culture. Our entire entertainment programme meets current health requirements (see the calendar):
    • Wearing a face mask is compulsory from the age of 12;
    • Mandatory registration via our online ticketing system (traceability);
    • Limited number of people (via our online ticketing system). Maximum of 15 people for outdoor events except for those dedicated to children or teenagers (up to 20 years old).
    • Respect for hygiene and social distance;
  • Private events with Family and friends are limited to 10 people inside and 15 people outside.

Public Transport

  • From the age of 12, wearing a face mask is compulsory.
  • Daily disinfection of contact areas is carried out.

Ski lifts companies

  • The ski lifts in the Champéry - Les Crosets - Morgins - Champoussin area are open until Sunday 11th April 2021, depending on snow conditions and sanitary measures (more infos).
  • No connection (shuttle bus) is planned between France and Switzerland for customers staying in a neighboring destination.
  • Wearing a mask is obligatory from 12 years old in queues and on all the lifts (including chairlifts, ski lift and beginners' treadmills) and a minimum distance (1.5m) between customers is required.

Leisure facilities

  • Facilities and establishments in the field of culture, entertainment, recreation and sport that are conducted indoors are closed, except for museums and libraries.
  • The Palladium de Champéry is able to make its facilities available to the public from its hotel. The Sports Centre will be completely closed from 19th April to 20th May for its annual maintenance.

Shops / services

  • From the age of 12, the wearing of a fascial mask is compulsory inside these establishments.
  • Provision of hydroalcoholic gel and daily disinfection of contact areas.
  • Limitation of the number of people inside in order to respect the required distances.

Pubs / restaurants / night clubs

  • Public eating and drinking establishments (restaurants, breweries that open on occasion, bars and cafes – including those attached to bakeries, petrol stations and railway stations, in hotels and at campsites) are closed to the public.
  • Home delivery or take away services are available until 7 pm, except on Sundays.


  • Our Hotels remain open. For booking cancellations, individual cancellation conditions apply.  Please contact your service provider directly.
  • From the age of 12, wearing a mask is compulsory in common areas and enclosed spaces.
  • Hydroalcoholic gel is available to customers and daily disinfection of contact areas is carried out.
  • Catering facilities in hotels can stay open until 11 pm and only for their customers.

  • To protect yourself as well as possible against the spread of the virus, you will find the recommended hygiene protocols on the FOPH website.

We encourage everyone to endure the coming weeks with patience and fortitude. So far nobody has all the answers to this unprecedented situation, but we will do our utmost to keep you informed as the situation develops.
