The Raclette World Championships site offers different areas for visitors:

  • Competition Hall: Competitions and award ceremonies.
  • Children & Activities Area: Cheese-making demonstrations, activities for children, games, and contests.
  • Raclette Valley, Aging Square, and Raclette Village: Food stalls, raclette stands, shops, folk animations, street bands (concerts and DJs also in the Raclette Village).
  • Workshops & Stories Area: Tales and legends of the valley, The art of scraping with “Raclette On Tour”.

The site is fully covered, except for the Children & Activities Area.

Lena is the voice of the village of Morgins as she grew up there! She regularly performs at events and bars in the region. Combined with her guitar, the beauty of her voice thrills her audience. Original compositions and covers will open musically the second edition of the Raclette World Championships!

  • Openstage Band (pop-rock variety)

This live music group is composed of artists from Chablais, the Valais center, and Lausanne (EJMA). Led by Jocelyne Martenet, their musical passion shines through! From rock covers to pop and current English and French variety, they promise an electric atmosphere and positive energy under the big tent!

  • DJ Toy (DJ set)

Known as DJ Toy, Hervé promises an exceptional late evening with a “revival” of the Valais Fair since he is the iconic DJ of the Swiss Tables area! His set will please all generations. Will he wear his overalls for the occasion?

Children can jump, slide, bounce, and most importantly, have fun! The inflatable castles are unsupervised; children are under their parents’ responsibility.

  • Cheese Wheel Weight Contest

How much does a wheel of raclette cheese weigh? This game challenges visitors to find the weight of the wheel by lifting it at the stand! The person closest to or exactly guessing the weight wins a raclette cheese.

Every day, one cheese is up for grabs. Winners will be notified Monday, October 27, and the prize will be sent by mail.

  • Cow Milking Learning

Fresh milk is the main ingredient for raclette cheese. Thanks to Swissmilk, experience a milking simulation and try the farmer’s trade!

  • Inflatable castles

Children can jump, slide, bounce, and have fun! The inflatable castles are unsupervised; children rely on their parents.

  • Cheese Making Demonstration

Discover the work of Joël Granger, cheesemaker at L’Alpage des Bochasses in Morgins! The milk is transformed on-site into raclette cheese, and you will have the chance to tantalize your taste buds by tasting this delicious product.

Aging takes place in an alpine cellar and a centralized aging cellar on the Cavagne site in Troistorrents. In summer, about five tons of cheese are made at the family alpine farm. His cheese is also used to make a fondue blend with another alpine cheese (Etivaz). This diversification has opened new marketing opportunities, especially for mountain restaurants.

  • “Art of Scraping” Workshop with Raclette On Tour

Scraping is an art and can be learned! During this workshop, you’ll learn to handle the knife, the oven, and the scraper’s apron. Thanks to the Master Scrapers, you will be trained to scrape cheese so that your raclettes are delicious and tempting! Become the future Eddy Baillifard!

A true call to celebration, LookSeeGo provokes wild parades and joyful crowds with their eclectic repertoire (American street band style, ska, reggae, boosted French songs, rock, hip-hop, and their own compositions). Generous with their talent and energy, the ten members of LookSeeGo don’t just play and sing but invite the audience to become part of the experience, making each performance immersive and unforgettable.

  • Mardi’s band (street band)

This group of friends loves music and partying! Fireworks of atmosphere are guaranteed at each of their appearances. Be ready to dance and move alongside them!

  • La Chtague (street band)

Festive, explosive, joyful, and catchy, these adjectives describe this brass ensemble’s musical universe! They play hits that have made crowds dance worldwide, reinterpreted to always bring an amazing vibe. Their repertoire includes Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jackson Five, Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Walk The Moon, Pharrell Williams, and more.

Wave10 is composed of six passionate musicians and long-time friends who guarantee a festive atmosphere and high musical quality! Their repertoire spans six decades, five languages, and a stunning diversity of musical styles, staying remarkably faithful to the original recordings of iconic songs across generations.

  • Linda Rao (DJ set)

Lead singer of Wave10, Linda rocks events behind her DJ deck! Singing and mixing with passion, she will surely set the stage on fire and energize the crowd dancing until the early morning!

  • Les Carlines des Portes du Soleil (bell ringers)

Founded in 1999 to perpetuate alpine traditions, this Franco-Swiss group rings bronze bells weighing 9 to 12 kilos! Their bells will surely ring out and bring a great atmosphere during the Raclette World Championships!

  • Trio Dents du Midi (folk music)

This trio of accordionists and a double bassist from the Illiez valley play traditional and popular local music with varied styles and rhythms.

  • Stéphane Lauper (flag thrower)

Flag throwing is a local tradition paired beautifully with alpine horns. It requires skill and many hours of practice. An impressive show that will surprise many!

  • Cor des Alpes – L’Echo des Vallées

Founded almost 30 years ago, this group of 12 musicians from Valais and Fribourg plays the alpine horn, producing sounds filled with respect, intensity, and echoes. A staple of Swiss traditional festivals!

  • BerGex (folk music)

Founded in 2011, this group from Illiez valley includes two brothers, a sister, and twin brothers from different families. They play a primarily traditional rural repertoire with some modern popular pieces, delighting audiences in the region and throughout Switzerland.
