Glacier 3000, the highest excursion destination in the Lake Geneva region, is located at the Col du Pillon, between Gstaad and Les Diablerets. This little slice of paradise welcomes you year-round, with a wide range of activities!
The ride on the panoramic cable car up to an altitude of nearly 3,000 meters takes just 15 minutes. No other Swiss glacier can be reached so quickly. And the ride itself is an experience, offering views of the magnificent Vaud Alps and massive rock formations. At the summit, the panorama opens up to reveal no fewer than 24 peaks over 4,000 meters, including the Eiger, the Mönch, and the Jungfrau, the Matterhorn, and Mont Blanc: a dream panorama for mountain lovers.
Crossing the Peak Walk by Tissot—a 107-meter-long suspension bridge (and, incidentally, the only one in the world connecting two peaks)—guarantees a thrilling experience. A 360° view will take your breath away as you gaze out over the Swiss Alps for a truly spectacular experience.
The Ice Express chairlift will take you on an adventure along the Glacier Walk, a safe glacier hike lasting about an hour to the Quille du Diable, where the Refuge de l’Espace will welcome you for a moment of culinary delight and relaxation. On your way back, stop by the Fun Park to go sledding in the snow and share a unique sliding experience with family or friends.
In the summer, the adrenaline rush intensifies with a wild ride down the world’s highest rail-based toboggan run—the Alpine Coaster. Jump into a sled, race down the rail-guided track, and navigate more than ten turns, six waves, and three jumps for an unforgettable experience. Thrill-seekers, this experience is made for you!
In winter, from November through April, the ski area offers 31 km of slopes, among the longest in the region. Opened in 2023, the “Black Wall” runs through a 265-meter tunnel and features a slope with a gradient of over 46°. This black run, reserved for experienced skiers, is one of the steepest runs in the world! Finally, Charlotte and her four-legged friends are waiting for you for a dog-sledding adventure—a treat for young and old alike (advance reservations required).

The cable car departs every 20 minutes.

For medical reasons, infants under 15 months are not permitted at Glacier 3000. For an excursion at an altitude of 3,000 meters, we recommend waiting until the child is 24 months old.

Glacier 3000 is easily accessible by public transportation from the Aigle train station via Les Diablerets, or from the Montreux or Interlaken train stations via Gstaad using the GoldenPass.
From there, PostBus No. 180 provides service to the ski lift departure point: https://www.sbb.ch/fr (stop: Col du Pillon, Glacier 3000)
Access by car is also possible from Aigle, Bulle, or Spiez. A large parking lot is available at Col du Pillon for a flat rate of CHF 5 per day.
