The "Savolaire" course is mainly located on a wide track with a very gentle slope and a beautiful view.
As you leave Morgins, follow the wide track until the Savolaire plain (Champarin) and its breathtaking views.
Once you’ve had your fill of vitamin D, you’ll take your skis back up across the field to the Buvette de Savolaire (closed in winter), round the front of the chalet and immediately go left for a short climb up the hill of Savolaire to reach the Swiss Alpine Club chalet. A slight descent brings you back to the Col du Madzé.
From there, you start the ascent directly through the fields (do not take the flat road of the snowshoe path) to join the red trail “Abérieu” before starting the last part on the ridge towards the upper station of the chairlift and continue on the ridge to reach the top of the Foilleuse.
Make your way down on the Foilleuse ski slope.
The trail is marked with yellow diamond signs (blue point) to the top of the Foilleuse.
At the start of each trail, a sign indicates whether it is open or not. The trails are marked but not patrolled. We therefore advise that you wear avalanche safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel and emergency blanket). Région Dents du Midi and Movement Skis accept no responsibility in case of an accident. Please follow the safety instructions. People heading up closed trails are held responsible for their own actions.
Best time of year
Please be aware that skiing down outside operating hours may involve risks and hazards such as avalanche triggering or grooming machines equipped with a winch.
Start from the Parking du 6 Août, the car park next to the tourist office in the centre of Morgins village.
