Founded in 1932, the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School (ESS) has been an institution in Champéry for over 90 years. Director Valentin Rithner and his team of qualified instructors provide private and groupe courses for skiers, snowboarders, free-riders and telemarkers.

The Swiss Ski and Snowboard School employs a teaching methodology for skiing and snow sports that ranks among the best in the world. This methodology has been developed over many years to provide a consistent, practice-oriented model across all disciplines. During the summer season, ESS Champéry also offers guided mountain activities: mountaineering, hiking, mountain biking, and adventure sports.
ESS employs trained snow sports instructors who share their knowledge with expertise and dedication. The guest is the center of attention and enjoys unparalleled instruction.
For the little ones, the ESS has developed the Kid’s Club. With Snowli and his friends, children will achieve their first successes on the snow in a way that is both fun and stimulating.
