Founded in 1932, the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School (ESS) has been an institution in Champéry for over 80 years. Director Valentin Rithner and his team of qualified instructors provide private and groupe courses for skiers, snowboarders, free-riders and telemarkers.
The Swiss Snowboard School is part of an infrastructure that has developed some of the best snow-sports instruction in the world. The techniques our instructors use have been refined over decades to a coherent, practice-based system, no matter what snow sport you are learning.
The ambassadors of this system, the ESS instructors, are not only highly-qualified; they are trained to teach with passion and commitment. For us, the client comes first and foremost and deserves the best instruction available.
For our littlest guests, the ESS offers a Kid’s Club. Here, Snowli and his band of joyous companions teach kids the rudiments of skiing and help to build their confidence from the moment their boots hit the snow.
