This family-friendly ramble will take you past several small stone monuments, like miniature chapels, which were built by our ancestors to implore Divine protection, or in fulfilment of a vow.
Visitor NotificationFrom approximately 31st August to 20th November 2026, the access road to Grand-Paradis will be closed to all traffic due to turbining works. The trail remains fully accessible, but one stage of the walk follows the Route du Grand-Paradis, which is currently closed. During this period, walkers are invited to use the Chemin des Poussettes as an alternative.
Leaving from the bell tower in Champéry’s Rue du Village, walk up the quaint village street to the Hotel Beau Séjour, then head towards the Ancienne Route du Grand Paradis, where you’ll find the Oratoire des Ravines and the Grotte de Notre Dame de Lourdes.
The Oratoire du Pont des Moulins sits on a narrow path overlooking the main road to Grand Paradis.
Once in Grand Paradis, pass by the charming Guest House Grand Paradis and continue on to the Oratoire Les Clous. Returning along this path, you will continue on towards the Paradis and La Luy Oratories
The bucolic Chemin des Poussettes will take you back to Champéry.
For a longer hike: once back to Champéry, you can take the Route de Planachaux to admire the Avouilles cross and the oratory (30 minutes walk) or even the Oratoire de Haute Revène (1h00 walk).
