A perfect spot for experienced climbers seeking challenge and serenity. Col de Cou captivates with its wild setting, breathtaking panoramas, and technical climbing on cornieule.

Visitor NotificationFrom approximately 31st August to 20th November 2026, the access road to Grand-Paradis will be closed to all traffic due to turbining works. During this period, those wishing to reach the Col de Cou are invited to choose one of the following two parking options:

at the Champéry cable car car park, then continue on foot to the Grand-Paradis/Barme area via the Chemin des Poussettes
at the Grand-Paradis chairlift car park, accessible via the Route des Rives from Monthey/Choëx, Troistorrents or Val-d'Illiez. Vehicles over 18 tonnes must use the Route des Rives from Monthey/Choëx.

A technical wall at the Franco-Swiss border

Located at Col de Cou on the Franco-Swiss border, this climbing site is accessible after a scenic 1-hour hike from the Barme plateau and the Berroi ridge.
The cliff offers a wild setting with stunning mountain views and an authentic alpine atmosphere.

Sectors and routes

The rock is cornieule with holes of various sizes, offering technical climbing on walls and overhangs.
The site has 2 distinct sectors with a total of 13 routes, ranging from 12 to 25 m in height, equipped with fixed bolts.
Difficulty levels range from 5c to 7b.
