On stage alone, Emeric Cheseaux recounts his move from a small town to the “big city.”
Through his impersonations, he paints funny, touching, and deeply human portraits of the people who shaped his early years. Filled with humor and truth, *La révérence* takes us into the most intimate recesses of family life, where two themes dear to the performer collide: the rural setting from which he comes and his “otherness.” With grape-harvesting crates as his only props, the actor reclaims the language of his roots to reconcile his heritage with his identity. A story rooted in his hometown where we are bound to recognize ourselves.
