The Illiez Card is the digital benefits card of Region Dents du Midi (hereinafter “RDDM”). It offers discounts and free access to a wide range of activities, tourist services and infrastructure in the destination and its surroundings, throughout the year.

Any Illiez Card holder is deemed to have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Use (T&Cs) in full upon activating their card or using it with participating service providers.

Art. 1 – Purpose and issuer

The Illiez Card is issued by Region Dents du Midi SA (RDDM), whose registered office is located in the Vallée d’Illiez (Valais, Switzerland). It replaces the Multi Pass and the Pass Bienvenue for holders within our territory (municipalities of Champéry, Val-d’Illiez and Troistorrents) as well as partner municipalities as of May 2026.

RDDM acts as an intermediary between holders and activity providers offering benefits through the card. RDDM cannot be held liable for services provided by third parties.

Art. 2 – Beneficiaries

The Illiez Card is intended for persons falling within the following categories:

2.1. Guests staying in the region

Any person staying in a tourist accommodation in the Vallée d’Illiez (hotel, apartment, chalet, bed & breakfast, campsite, etc.) and paying the tourist tax automatically benefits from the Illiez Card. The card is included in the tourist tax and is provided free of charge by the accommodation provider.

Obtaining the Illiez Card is however subject to the accommodation provider registering the overnight stays on the Checkin platform. The accommodation provider is responsible for the information entered about the Illiez Card holder and must ensure that the holder has access to the card during their stay. If the accommodation provider does not register their guest on Checkin, RDDM will not be able to provide cards to their clients.

2.2. Second home owners

Owners of a second home in the municipalities of Champéry, Troistorrents or Val-d’Illiez who pay the annual flat-rate tourist tax are entitled to a number of cards determined by the usable floor area of the property, at a rate of one card per 17 m² (rounded up).

Example: a property of 35 m² entitles the owner to 3 Illiez Cards.

Cards are valid for a period of one year from 1 May of the current year.

2.3. Residents of the Vallée d’Illiez (primary residence)

Persons with their fiscal domicile in the municipalities of Champéry, Troistorrents or Val-d’Illiez may benefit from the Illiez Card under the following conditions:

  • The Illiez Card is offered free of charge until 30 April 2027 to taxpayers domiciled in these municipalities.
  • From 1 May 2027 onwards, the card will be subject to a fee (rate to be determined).
  • Cards are valid for one year from the date of registration.

The benefits of the card for residents do not cover all the advantages available to staying guests or second home owners. Specific limitations are indicated in the description of each partner offer.

2.4. New residents

The Illiez Card is offered free of charge for the first year to any person newly domiciled in one of the following municipalities: Champéry, Troistorrents, Val-d’Illiez, Monthey or Collombey-Muraz. The holder must register their arrival with the competent municipal administration within 14 days of moving in. The card is valid for one year from the date of arrival registered by the residents’ office.

2.5. Young people in school and domiciled in the Vallée d’Illiez

Art. 3 – Obtaining the card

3.1. Staying guests

Once the accommodation booking is confirmed, the holder automatically receives an email 5 days before their arrival. This email contains a link to register each holder included in the booking by name. Cards can then be downloaded in PDF format and/or presented from a mobile device.

If no email has been received, the holder must contact their accommodation provider, who can generate the cards via the checkin.rddm.ch platform or print them in paper format.

3.2. Second home owners

The owner must log in to the online portal at resident.illiezcard.ch by entering the customer code shown on the flat-rate tourist tax invoice and the associated family name. They can then register the holders of their choice (family members, friends, long-term tenants, etc.) within the limit of available cards.

Cards can also be obtained in paper format from the Tourist Offices of Champéry or Morgins.

Once a card has been assigned to a person, the holder can no longer be changed until the annual renewal of the card. It is recommended to assign annual cards in priority to persons who stay regularly in the property.

3.3. Residents

Cards can be generated online via the portal habitant.illiezcard.ch or collected in person from the Tourist Offices of Champéry or Morgins.

Proof of address will be required when ordering Resident cards to ensure that the holder is an eligible person.

Examples of accepted documents:

  • Certificate of residence issued by the residents’ register
  • Public utility bill (water, electricity, etc.)
  • Confirmation of registration in the municipal register

The card is sent by email after the order has been validated by the Tourist Offices.

3.4. Occasional visitors of second home owners and residents

Any person subject to the tourist tax who does not already hold an annual card may benefit from an Illiez Card “stay”, valid only for the duration of their visit. The duration of a stay is limited to 21 consecutive days, renewable.

The procedures for generating visitor stay cards are as follows:

  • – Manual entry of the stay by the accommodation provider, real estate agency or second home owner via checkin.rddm.ch (automatic email notification to the visitor);
  • Use of a QR code displayed in the accommodation to redirect the visitor to the self-registration form;
  • Adding the visitor self-registration link to the accommodation booking confirmation.

Stay cards expire automatically on the declared end date of the stay (maximum duration of 21 days).

Before making visitor cards available, the owner or resident must have completed the mandatory registration of their accommodation with their municipality.

Art. 4 – Format and presentation

The Illiez Card is issued in digital format as a QR code, accessible via a PDF file received by email or from a web application via a personalised link available on the card’s PDF. It can be:

  • Displayed on a smartphone or tablet (screen);
  • Printed on paper.

The holder is solely responsible for having functional access to their card (charged device, access to the PDF file, etc.) when using it at partner service providers. No right to compensation may be invoked in the event of a technical inability to access the card.

It is possible to manage the cards of several persons on a single device or to send the card by email to each holder.

The card may under no circumstances be transferred, lent, sold or used by a person other than its rightful holder. It cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Identity and/or age checks may be carried out by partner service providers before access to any service.

The benefits of the Illiez Card may change during the year. New offers may be added at any time. The updated list of benefits is available on the website regiondentsdumidi.ch and on the Illiez Card platform.

Illiez Card holders benefit from a –10% discount on the purchase of a Multi Pass Portes du Soleil (pedestrian access to all installations in the ski area). The Multi Pass is available for purchase at the ski lift ticket offices, by the day or by the season.

This discount is subject to presenting a valid Illiez Card at the time of purchase. It cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.

7.4. Partner activities

The Illiez Card entitles holders to discounts on a selection of activities offered by RDDM’s partner service providers in the region and surroundings (sports, leisure, culture, wellness, gastronomy, etc.).

The full and updated list of partner offers is available at illiezcard.ch or in the web app. This list is subject to change; new offers may be added or removed at any time.

Access to each service remains subject to the operating, opening, capacity and safety conditions of each service provider.

Art. 8 – Identity check

Before access to any service covered by the Illiez Card, a check may be carried out by the service provider concerned. During this check, RDDM and service providers reserve the right to:

  • Request the presentation of an official identity document (identity card, passport, residence permit);
  • Refuse access to the service if the holder’s identity cannot be verified or does not correspond to the information on the card.

Any service refused on grounds of an identity check does not entitle the holder to any refund or compensation.

Art. 9 – Misuse and sanctions

Any fraudulent or abusive use of the Illiez Card may result in its immediate and permanent withdrawal, without compensation, as well as exclusion from the programme for subsequent seasons or years. In the most serious cases, a complaint may be filed with the competent authorities.

The following are considered fraudulent or abusive (non-exhaustive list):

  • Declaring inaccurate or fictitious stay dates;
  • Entering incorrect personal data (surname, first name, date of birth, address, etc.);
  • Use of the card by a person other than the designated holder;
  • Transfer, lending or resale of the card to a third party;
  • Use of a card that has not been activated or is incompletely filled in;
  • Fraudulent declaration of fiscal domicile or household composition to obtain additional cards;
  • Obtaining resident cards for persons not domiciled in the Vallée d’Illiez.

Any fraudulent declaration results in the immediate and automatic cancellation of all cards concerned and exclusion from the programme.

Art. 10 – Liability and limitations

RDDM acts as an intermediary between holders and participating service providers. The services offered via the Illiez Card are provided by third parties, under their own responsibility and in accordance with their own access, booking, operating and safety conditions. RDDM provides no guarantee as to the effective, continuous or uninterrupted performance of the services offered.

The benefits, discounts, participating partners, terms of use and technical features of the Illiez Card may be modified, suspended or removed at any time, without notice, in particular for technical, operational, organisational or force majeure reasons, or in the event of cessation of collaboration with a partner.

The total or partial unavailability of a benefit — for whatever reason — does not entitle the holder to any refund, compensation, damages, reduction in the price of the stay or any other form of compensation.

The Illiez Card is an ancillary benefit linked to the stay or to resident/inhabitant status. It does not constitute an essential guaranteed service. Any technical malfunctions (loss or deletion of email, incorrect address, unavailability of terminal, etc.) attributable to the holder or to third parties do not engage the liability of RDDM.

Art. 11 – Data protection

The personal data collected in the context of the Illiez Card (surname, first name, date of birth, email address, stay information) is processed by Omnisoftory, RDDM’s subcontractor for the EasyCheckin solution, in compliance with applicable Swiss law, in particular the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

This data is used by our subcontractor for the following purposes:

  • Generation, management and dispatch of cards;
  • Verification of holder eligibility;
  • Management of potential misuse;
  • Communications relating to Illiez Card benefits (offer notifications, operational information), subject to the holder’s consent at the time of card registration.

RDDM does not have access to the personal data of Illiez Card holders registered by third parties (accommodation providers, second home owners, municipalities, etc.). Only the Dents du Midi intermunicipal Police (PIDM) may request this data from Omnisoftory, within the framework of its legal powers regarding the monitoring of persons staying in the territory, in accordance with the Valais Law on accommodation, catering and retail sale of alcoholic beverages (LHR, RS/VS 935.3, art. 15) and the Valais Law on commercial police (RS/VS 930.1, art. 6f and 6g).

The data required to identify the holder (surname, first name, date of birth) may be shared with partner service providers for identity verification purposes when accessing services. By accepting these T&Cs, the holder consents to this data sharing.

For any request relating to the exercise of rights of access, rectification or deletion of data, the holder may contact RDDM at illiezcard@rddm.ch.

Art. 12 – Amendments to these T&Cs

RDDM reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. Amendments take effect as of their publication on the website regiondentsdumidi.ch. Use of the Illiez Card after publication of the amendments constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.

The information published on the website regiondentsdumidi.ch is for information purposes only and may be amended at any time.

Art. 13 – Applicable law and jurisdiction

These T&Cs are governed exclusively by Swiss law. Any dispute relating to the Illiez Card shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Canton of Valais (Switzerland). Only the French-language text shall be authoritative in the event of any discrepancy between the language versions.
