MTB HOLIDAYS IN SWISS: Go your own way…

In winter, the Portes du Soleil is one of the largest ski areas in the world.
In summer, this is the biggest bike park in Europe, with over 600 km of marked trails.

For your MTB holidays in Swiss, two rides are never the same. You can explore an endless network of mellow alpine roads, set your sights on a challenging mountain pass or shred some gnarly downhill runs in a bike park. Catch a ride on one of 21 chairlifts open in summer for easy access to scenic single tracks through pastoral alpine meadows. With a little help from an electric mountain bike, you can really head for the hills and eat up the miles.

Along the way you’ll find over 400 picturesque alpine chalets, 10 crystalline mountain lakes and no end of remarkable panoramic vistas!

Mountain bike trails between France and Switzerland

These 600 kilometres of mountain bike trails connect a dozen resorts between France and Switzerland. In France, Châtel, Avoriaz, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Morzine, Les Gets, Montriond and Saint-Jean d'Aulps. On the Swiss side : Val d'Illiez, Champoussin, Champéry, Les Crosets, Morgins and Torgon.

The Portes du Soleil tour is accessible from the end of June to the beginning of September with 1'000 metres of positive altitude difference and 6'000 metres of negative altitude difference. You can start from any resort in the area and use the lifts to cross the steepest passages. And for those who want to discover the Swiss Alps and Valais with as little effort as possible, opt for the e-bike in Portes du Soleil, a vehicle powered by an environmentally friendly electric motor.
