Serving customers since the very beginning of the 20th century, the venerable Café Le Nord is one of the oldest establishments in Champéry.
While the restaurant has changed hands many times over the years, it has kept all the charm of yesteryear intact. Our speciality is the ever-popular Swiss Rösti, hash-browned potatoes that can be served plain, with ‘atriaux’ – a Swiss dish resembling large, spiced meatballs – or with chicken curry for more exotic variant.
In summer, our quiet, shady terrace is the ideal spot for an al fresco meal or a cool aperitif with spectacular views of the Dents du Midi mountains. In winter, the cosy, rustic interior is the perfect foil for hearty cheese dishes and other local specialities after a long day on the slopes.
