La Vièze en Fayot

Val-d'Illiez · Troistorrents

A looping walk between the villages of Troistorrents and Val-d'Illiez, with views of the Dents Blanches and a stroll along the Vièze river.

Troistorrents gare – Crie d’En Bas – Val-d’Illiez – Buchelieule – Fayot – Troistorrents

From Troistorrents train station, follow the main road towards Champéry for 300 meters, then turn right after the railway crossing onto Chemin de Torrencey. At the bend, continue left on Chemin de Chiésey while enjoying the magnificent view of the Dents Blanches. Cross the main road and climb the path opposite to the hamlet of Crie d’En Bas. Keep climbing a bit through the forest until the trail junction (always follow the direction to Val-d’Illiez), then descend to the small wooden bridge to cross the Torrent de Fayot. Pass under the farm and return to the small paved road while admiring the view of the Val-d’Illiez church and the Dents du Midi.

Feel free to take a refreshing break on a terrace in the center of Val-d’Illiez village, then head down between the church and the rectory via Chemin de la Creuse to the Buchelieule neighborhood at the bottom of the village. Go around the apartment complex via Route des Crettex to reach Chemin de la Vièze. Follow the La Vièze river along the wide path and then a forest trail, cross the Torrent de Fayot again to reach the Fayot football field. Continue along Route du Stade and return to Troistorrents station via Chemin de Revenettaz on your left..
