CommUne Histoire takes place on the first Wednesday of every month in a commune in the Chablais region of the Valais. At 7:00 pm, a storyteller greets the public in front of the community building and accompanies them to a resident's home for half an hour of 2-voice storytelling in 2 languages.
For around 30 minutes, two duos made up of a storyteller and a foreign mother-tongue speaker tell the same story together, each in his or her own language, without translation.
The foreigner shares the specifics of his or her country, while the storyteller contributes his or her know-how. In this way, the stories take on a variety of artistic forms, depending on the talents brought together: tastings, songs, music, images, objects, clothing, games, and many other surprises.
Stories from all over the world come to us…
Tales on the move, for a truly multicultural journey.
The evening continues with a convivial verrée, accompanied by a variety of tastings, offering a rich anthology of encounters.
