Pleasant walk on a wide path that takes you to the beautiful viewpoint "Tronchey". Take a break at the restaurant Ü Yeü Tsalé or Les Bochasses.
Follow the pink snowshoe signs nr 2.
Leaving from the large car park at the entrance to Champoussin, to the right, cross the bridge over the river and follow the river to the right. Walk along the hillside, taking in the spectacular views of the Rhone valley and the Vaudoise Alps along the way. At the site called ‘Tronchay’, head downhill, over the Délifrette Bridge and uphill again along the road.
At the fork in the road, you have 3 possibilities :
– Short variant (without restaurant):
Total 2h, 3.9 km, ascent 187m.
Go straight back to the left, pass under the start of the Sépaya skilift and join your starting point in Champoussin.
– Medium variant (route proposed on our map) with a stop at the typical alp restaurant Ü Yeü Tsalé :
Total 2h30, 6.4 km, ascent 315m.
Turn right on the wide path then pass under the Bochasses chairlift departure station and reach the restaurant Ü Yeü Tsalé at the bottom of La Chaux chairlift.
– Medium variant with a stop at the alpine Bochasses Restaurant :
Total 3h00, 6.8 km, ascent 440m.
Take the wide path on the right and go up a slightly steeper slope on the left (before the Bochasses chairlift forest).
For both variants with a restaurant, retrace your steps to the junction. Then go back to the left, pass under the start of the Sépaya skilift and join your starting point in Champoussin.
The easiest variant path is also accessible to pedestrians (without snowshoes) if there is not too much fresh snow.
