Lex Weber – Secondary Residences Act
In Switzerland, the Secondary Residences Act (SRA), commonly known as the Lex Weber, limits the proportion of secondary residences per municipality to 20%. Champéry, Les Crosets, Champoussin and Morgins exceed this threshold: it is therefore prohibited to build new secondary residences there. This law also has important implications for the renovation, extension or change of use of an existing property. Before any renovation, purchase or sale project, we recommend that you enquire with your municipality or a notary.
