Champéry - Croix de Culet Cable Car

Pastille Activité incluse Multi Pass

Inaugurated in 1987, the iconic red and white Champéry cable car whisks you to a height of 1,962 metres in under 5 minutes. At the arrival point, and the jumping-off point for the ski slopes, you will find a restaurant, snack bar and 360° views from a vast, sunny terrace.

The cable car linking Champéry to Croix-de-Culet was built in 1987 by the famous transport company Garaventa. The 2 cabins hold 125 people, with an hourly flow of 1,000 people. The cable car spans a distance of 899 vertical meters from the departure point at 1,037 m altitude to the arrival point at 1,936 m.

At the top, pedestrians in search of tranquillity will be awestruck by the panoramic views from the Croix de Culet while skiers can access the vast Portes du Soleil ski slopes. In summer, mountain bikers can set off for a multitude of downhill and enduro trails and hikers equipped with the Multi Pass can take the cable car and all of the Portes du Soleil lifts for free.

How to get there?

If you are by car, a car park is at your disposal in front of the cable car. It is free in summer and charged in winter (5.- per day).
You can also take the train with the AOMC line of the Transports Publics du Chablais which will take you at the bottom of the cable car ( "Champéry" stop).
