OLYMPIC FORM

One of the oldest tourist destinations in Switzerland, Champéry recently became the first Olympic Village in Valais, after hosting the curling events for the Youth Olympic Games – Lausanne 2020. Although the village has changed considerably over the years, the picturesque main street and the nearby hamlet of Barme still have all the authentic charm of yesteryear.

Quaint, yet resolutely modern, Champéry also houses a multifunctional sports centre with a wide range of sports and leisure facilities that cater to elite athletes, sports lovers and families alike. Spoilt for choice, you can spend a sunny afternoon on the lush lawns by the outdoor pool, try your hand at curling, skate circles around your friends on the ice rink… it’s all here under one roof at the Palladium.

Champéry’s iconic red and white cable car is a wonder of modern Swiss efficiency, whisking you away to an altitude of 2,000m in under 5 minutes. From here, the immense Portes du Soleil sprawls at your feet, promising adventure in every direction!
