The Temple de Champéry is hosting a new series of lecture-concerts dedicated to nature, spirituality, and music, followed by a friendly cocktail reception.

The Temple de Champéry is hosting the inaugural session of a new series of lecture-concerts organized by the Reformed Church of Monthey. This event explores nature through a dual approach combining spirituality and music, in a venue whose atmosphere and acoustics are particularly well-suited to this occasion.

The evening will begin with a roughly 30-minute lecture titled “The Whisper of a Tree,” presented by Marion Moser. A Neuchâtel-based pilgrim guide and author, she will share her unique experience of crossing Germany on foot, from north to south. A former pastor and author of the book “My Feet, My Backpack, and Me,” she will illustrate her story with a few objects emblematic of her journey.

The Sainte-Cécile Choir of Val-d’Illiez will continue the evening with a musical program inspired by nature and the mountains. They will perform, among other pieces, “Chante montagnard,” “Signore delle cime,” “Les Sentiers valaisans,” “Chant d’été,” “Enfant de la terre,” “Mon pays chante,” and “La Prière du pâtre.”

There will be an opportunity for a Q&A session with the audience following the talk. Following the musical performance, a roundtable discussion will bring together Marion Moser, members of the choir, and representatives of the Reformed Church.

The event will conclude with a friendly cocktail reception, offering everyone the opportunity to continue the discussions and share a warm, convivial moment.
