The Illiez Card is the new benefits card of the Region Dents du Midi. It provides discounts and free access to activities and tourist facilities in the destination and its surroundings, throughout the year.
The Illiez Card is personal, issued in digital format as a QR Code to be shown to service providers to enjoy the benefits. It is available for residents, secondary residents, and young people enrolled in school and domiciled in the region, under the following conditions:
How to obtain your cards?
1. Secondary residents and long-term tenants
What are the conditions for access to the card?
- The card is personal (non-transferable), valid for 1 year from 1 May
- The card is offered to you free of charge
- The number of cards available to you is calculated based on the surface area of your accommodation (1 card per 17m² bracket, rounded up). Example: 35m² = 3 Illiez Cards
- In addition, you will be able to generate “stay” cards for occasional visitors (see below ⬇️).
- In certain special situations, an adjustment of the number of annual cards may be considered upon request, for example for a family with children where the number of cards would be insufficient given the household composition. These requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, upon presentation of appropriate supporting documentation (e.g. family record book).
How do I obtain my annual cards?
It is important to read the following before activating your cards:
- The Illiez Card shows the surname, first name and date of birth of the holder. This data must match what is stated on their identity document (identity and age checks may be carried out by activity providers).
- Beneficiaries can be registered at any time, in one or more steps (the card is generated almost instantly after registration).
- Once a card has been assigned to a person, the holder cannot be changed until the card is renewed the following year.
- You may assign your Illiez Cards to whoever you wish, within the limit of your card quota: family members, friends, visitors… the choice is yours! However, it is recommended to assign annual cards first to people who stay regularly at your accommodation.

Can my visitors benefit from the Illiez Card?
Yes. Whether for occasional visits (friends, family members, tenants, etc.), any person subject to the tourist tax who does not already hold an annual card can benefit from an Illiez Card “stay.”
Unlike your annual card, your visitors’ Illiez Card is valid only for the duration of their stay.
1. For guests staying (commercial overnight stays)
- Prior declaration
If not yet done, you must submit a mandatory declaration to your municipality to announce the rental of the property
→ Rental announcement form - Access to the overnight declaration platform
The municipality registers the accommodation on the Illiez Card platform (checkin.rddm.ch). The accommodation provider can then access the platform to register their guests so they can receive their guest card. - Simplified entry of the electronic arrival form
The accommodation provider only needs to enter the main contact details of the person responsible for the stay, along with their email address, the period of stay, and the number of visitors (adults and children). - Registration of personal cards
The guest receives an email 5 days before arrival with a link to complete the personal details of each card beneficiary. They can then download their cards in PDF format. They can also complete their details upon arrival at the apartment (via a QR code that the owner can print and display in their accommodation). - Automatic expiry of cards at the end of the stay
2. For friends and visitors who do not already hold an annual card (non-commercial overnight stays)
Visits staying with a secondary resident
After registering your annual cards, a confirmation will be sent to you by email. This email contains the steps to generate Illiez Card “stay” cards.
From the dedicated platform (checkin.rddm.ch), you can, as preferred:
- Manually enter your visitors’ stays (automatic sending of the card by email to visitors)
- Generate a QR Code to display in your accommodation so that your visitors can activate their own card (which they receive by email)
- Obtain a link that you can send to your visitors by message or email (for them to register themselves)
Once a visitor is registered, they receive their cards by email in PDF format. Cards expire automatically at the end of the stay.
