Originally from Troistorrents, Matis Crettenand is a rising Swiss freestyle skiing athlete. Passionate about extreme sports from an early age, he discovered freeskiing at Les Crosets through the Pro-Style club, where he quickly developed a taste for challenge and pushing his own limits.
After two years with Ski Romand, he completed a sports-study programme at the Centre National de Performance (NLZ) in Engelberg between 2020 and 2025, specialising in slopestyle and big-air.
From the 2026 season, he made the choice to focus entirely on halfpipe, a technical and demanding discipline. He now competes on the European and international circuit, having made his World Cup debut this season (22nd place). Swiss vice-champion and 4th in the overall European rankings, his goals are to reach the very top level, establish himself fully on the World Cup circuit, and qualify for the 2030 Olympic Games.
Driven and committed, Matis moves forward with one clear ambition: to push his limits and represent Region Dents du Midi at the highest level.
