A discovery walk to learn more about edible plants, punctuated by a delicious meal at Chez Coquoz featuring local produce.
On an easy hike, Nathalie Nemeth-Défago, herbalist and mountain guide, will take you on a journey to discover edible and medicinal wild plants in their autumnal splendor, just as they have been used since time immemorial in the valley for food and healing.
After the foraging, it will be time to savor the flavors. While you prepare your aperitif using what you’ve gathered, the Coquoz restaurant in Planachaux—a pioneer in wild plant cuisine in the region—will prepare a highly original and delicious three-course meal for you, drawing on their extensive experience in fine dining and edible wild plants.
You’ll leave with recipes, tips for identifying plants, and funny and surprising anecdotes about the uses of local plants.
