Born in 2010 in Val-d’Illiez, in the heart of a region deeply connected to skiing, Julien discovered the mountains and sliding sports at a very early age. Introduced to skiing at the age of two, he quickly joined the village ski club, where he took his first steps in competition alongside his friends. His passion grew through training sessions and challenges shared on the slopes.
In 2022, Julien took a new step by joining the Ski Team Dents du Midi performance center, affiliated with Ski Valais. Coached by dedicated trainers, he developed his taste for effort, his discipline, and the determination to give his all to achieve his goals.

Athletic Progression
Starting in winter 2024, Julien naturally joined the IRW race circuit, where the best young skiers from French-speaking Switzerland compete. His excellent results gave him the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Scara in Val d’Isère, often considered a true “World Cup” for U14/U16. Julien achieved a magnificent 3rd place in Super-G in the U14 category, a highlight crowned by a memorable ceremony. A memory he will cherish for life.
During the following season, he continued his progression by advancing to U16 national competitions. Despite an adaptation period at the start of the season where he had to fight for starting positions, his work paid off: he finished 5th at the Swiss Slalom Championships, an emotional moment. He ended the season with 39.37 KWO points and 4th place in the national ranking for boys born in 2010.
Commitment and Goals for the 2025-2026 Season in Final U16 Year
Highly committed, Julien dedicated his summer 2025 to intensive physical training to approach the season in the best conditions. Coached since the age of twelve by trainers who know his strengths and areas for improvement perfectly, he benefits from tailored guidance. Their expertise, combined with the trust they’ve built over the years, allows him to prepare optimally. Julien is looking forward to his first races. He will approach them with the desire to surpass himself, but also with the pleasure of reuniting with his friends, all driven by the same dream of a successful season.
For Julien, skiing is much more than a sport: it’s a school of life. He has learned perseverance, discipline, the importance of falling to rise stronger, and the power of friendship and family support.
For his final year in the U16 category, Julien aims to further refine his skills to join the Western National Performance Center in Brig, where he can continue to best balance his life as a skier with that of a student and try to climb even higher.
Partnerships and Representation
Since the 2024-2025 season, Julien has been part of HEAD’s Young Rebels Team, which he represents enthusiastically. He is also supported by Leki and Level brands.
In December 2025, he joined the Young Athletes Team of the Region Dents du Midi. Proud of his origins, he will be honored to represent his region’s colors in competitions and training, and also participate in various local events to promote competitive skiing among youth.
