Born in 2009 in Val-d’Illiez, where winter sports are part of the local DNA, Thibaud grew up with skis on his feet. From an early age, he joined his village ski club, discovered the thrill of competition, and started nurturing his ambitions.
In spring 2021, he joined Ski Valais within the CRP Ski Team Dents du Midi — a demanding and high-performing regional structure. In 2025, his selection for the NLZ West in Brig (one of the three National Performance Centers bringing together Switzerland’s best young athletes) marked a decisive step toward elite sport and the FIS circuit. Alongside his studies at the Brig Sports School, Thibaud continues to progress with discipline and determination.

Between resilience and passion
Throughout his young career, Thibaud has shown remarkable resilience. Despite several injuries in the U12 category, he never lost his motivation. In U14, even with high start numbers, he quickly improved, earning the title of Valais Slalom Champion and qualifying for IRW competitions, gaining confidence and valuable experience.
In U16, his evolution accelerated — regular podiums, first participation in the Swiss Championships, and in 2024/2025, victory in the IRW overall ranking as the best athlete in French-speaking Switzerland. He even wore the Swiss leader’s bib until March 20, 2025 — proof of his outstanding national level. International selections took him to face top competitors from Europe and the U.S., with a remarkable 4th place in slalom at the FESA Cup in Les Ménuires confirming his strong international potential.
Since joining the FIS circuit in November 2025, Thibaud has embraced the challenge of this highly competitive environment with enthusiasm. His results speak for themselves: a FIS NJR slalom victory in Les Crosets, 6th at the Swiss U18 Slalom Championships (1st among 2009 athletes) in Meiringen, and 18th at the Swiss U18 Giant Slalom Championships (4th among 2009 athletes) in Elm — proof of his capacity to succeed at the national level.
Goals
Ambitious yet grounded, Thibaud aims to achieve top FIS points in slalom among Swiss athletes born in 2009 and finish among the top 8 in the Swiss Cup overall standings. These goals reflect his drive to remain among the very best of his generation.
