Natural curiosity enchanting young and old, Morgins' iron source of water, known as Eau Rouge, colors the stones of the Vièze with magnificent red colors that still intrigue walkers.
In 1820, this source of water left Morgins out of anonymity, and this 19th century passage between the Lower Valais and the Val d’Abondance, a “halt on the moraine” from which its name much of its tourism development. At this time, people are really looking for water cures and the spas.
