This magnificent hill-climb on a mountain bike takes you from Champéry to the Barmaz plateau via the legendary Braye climb, with sections at over 30% without putting your foot down. It will make some people wince and others cry!
Starting in front of Champéry’s Bikeshop at 6:30 p.m., we’ll ride around the village to reach Grand Paradis under driving. The official start is at the Auberge du Grand Paradis, then the route takes the Chemin des Clous to the Route de Barme. Once on the Route de Barme, we head for the Champs de Barme, where the famous Braye begins. The finish is in front of the Cantine des Dents Blanche, where we enjoy a well-deserved fondue. The descent to the village is by bike, so remember to take your lights with you.
Practical information:
– Not enough practice? You can still take part by riding up the paved route de Barmaz or by electric-assist bike!
– Start in front of the Champéry Bikeshop. Afterwards, you’ll ride around the village on your own to reach the Grand Paradis, where the official start will be given.
– In the evening, the descent/return to the village is done by bike, so don’t forget to take your lights with you.

- 6.30pm: Briefing and departure in front of the Champéry Bikeshop
- 7.30pm: Fondue at the Cantine des Dents Blanches.
