Led by a basket weaver, a stonemason, an herbalist and two carpenters
The heritage comes to life at Vieux Moulins de la Tine! Dive into the heart of the gestures of yesteryear with unique demonstrations every weekend in July and August from Sunday, July 13. These animations offer you a rare opportunity to see, feel and hear the trades that made the heart of our valleys beat. A living, authentic and accessible moment for all – young and old, curious and passionate.
Saturday, August 16 program:
– The basker weaver will demonstrate live how to weave various objects from wicker, keeping alive a craft that is both humble and refined.
– The stonemason will perform a rare demonstration: the size of the millstone of the foulon, a centerpiece of the mill hand-shaped, before your eyes.
– The herbalist will introduce you to the virtues of local plants and their traditional uses, through a hands-on and sensory approach.
– A carpenter will restore the saw sharpening press, an imposing machine essential to the maintenance of mill tools. A work of precision and passion.
– And the second passionate carpenter will make you discover the art of restoration of old objects. You will see how the wood finds a second youth in the hands of a heritage-loving artisan.
