The exhibition invites visitors to explore a space where invisible links are forged between trees and humans.
When Val-d’Illiez’s multi-century-old beech tree had to be felled in autumn 2024, Brindusa Burrows embarked on an artistic journey to recreate and honor the essence of this historic tree. Through print, painting, sculpture and audiovisual media, the artist shares the deep bond she has forged with this magical being – a bond that transcends matter and resonates throughout an entire community.
The exhibition is an invitation to rethink the boundaries between the human and the non-human, and to experience the discreet presence of the living differently, with sensitivity and care.
