The alpine road takes you to Chalet Chanso where you can enjoy a gourmet break with a beautiful view of the Dents du Midi and the Vaud Alps.
Take the Ski Bus Morgins (towards the bottom of the village) to the last stop “Route de Chanso”.
Follow the mountain pasture road “Route de Champsot” all the way. The first section is cleared of snow until the last chalets area. This side of Morgins enjoys the most sunshine in winter and a beautiful view of the Dents du Midi and the Vaud Alps.
After a 4 km climb, leave the road and turn left at the sign indicating the “Chalet Chanso” restaurant for a gourmet break in a haven of peace.
The return journey is by the same route.
VARIATION :
To return to Morgins, at the end of the season or if the snow has melted, you can take the snowshoe trail starting at the Ferrage alpine chalet (closed in winter), follow the round green sign “Ferrage-Sépaz” (see link under Multimedia). As this little path goes through the forest, we recommend poles and good waterproof and shaped boots. Join the telephone antenna and the “route de Sépaz” to go back down to the centre of Morgins.
