Blanketed in snow, the Portes du Soleil are yours for the conquering! One hands-free lift pass means you can hit the slopes all day and never take the same route twice, finding something new and wonderful around every bend.

THE SWISS SKI AREA

Champéry – Les Crosets – Morgins – Champoussin

The Swiss side of Les Portes du Soleil can be accessed separately with a Swiss lift pass. This pass covers the four Swiss resorts of Champery, Les Crosets, Champoussin, and Morgins.

With an impressive variety of slopes – ranging from groomed boulevards to one of the steepest slopes in the world – and no fewer than 37 lifts, the area provides plenty of scope for families with children but also for more adventurous skiers looking for a challenge.

The highest summit in Les Portes du Soleil is the Pointe de Mossettes (2,277 m). Despite the mild climate that comes with this mid-alpine altitude, we generally enjoy excellent snow conditions throughout the winter season.

The International ski area: 1 Hands-free Lift pass for 2 countries

The largest international ski area in the world!

Founded by a few local visionaries over 50 years ago, today Les Portes du Soleil’s vast territory comprises 12 French and Swiss resorts.

Nestled in the foothills of the Alps just an hour from Geneva, this is a veritable nature preserve for winter sports lovers. In a seemingly untouched landscape, slopes slalom discreetly through alpine forests and pastures and past centuries-old chalets, following the lay of the land. The area enjoys excellent snowfall from mid-December to late April, with an accumulated average snow depth of almost 7.50 metres per year.

All this means that the Portes du Soleil offers a truly unique kind of skiing – a ski safari, from resort to resort, valley to valley, and from one country to the next…
